This data represents Priority Environment Management Areas within Strathcona County. This data is intended to be used with Land Use planning.

Strathcona County supports cooperative efforts to ensure the quality of water, land, air and natural resources found within the region are maintained and enhanced. Priority environment management areas (PEMA) have been identified to aid the County in meeting the environment management objectives. The data displays buffers that have been created to protect lands and water resources as well as unique habitats. Data is static. It was collected around 2007 for the MDP report that year.

The main objective of the study was to complete a comprehensive identification of prioritized natural features and wildlife habitats across Strathcona County.
