The ‘Strathcona County Parks’ dataset contains outdoor areas of land that support active and passive recreational activities that are owned or operated by Strathcona County. It includes all natural and human-made landscaping, facilities and structures consistent with the general purpose of public park land whether or not the facilities are publicly operated or operated by other organizations pursuant to arrangements with the public authority owning the park. This will include but is not limited to municipal parks, schools, community halls, storm water management facilities, urban forests and protected areas. The boundaries of the ‘Park’ are typically related to the parcel boundaries as defined by zoning/Order-in-Council/other cadastre but there may be exceptions. Please note, there may be some ‘parks’ (protected areas, natural reserves, crown reservations, etc) that will not be included in this data layer if they are not owned or operated by Strathcona County.

Strathcona Library provides a bookmobile service weekly, this data set includes the stops and schedule, along with a list of locations of the book return bins.

The Notice of Awarded Contracts program (NAC) is part of Strathcona County's ongoing commitment to open and transparent procurement practices, as stated in the Procurement Policy. Through this initiative, awarded contracts of any value, for construction, services and goods; as well as purchase orders with a value of $50,000 or more, are posted monthly on the Open Data Portal. “Playing Fields" are outdoor areas of land covered in grass and/or loose shale designed to facilitate organized and unorganized recreation that are owned or maintained by Strathcona County. These areas are commonly sport fields with designated boundaries for particular activities (i.e. soccer field) but can also allow general recreation and may not have specific visible boundaries on-site. It includes the bounds of the area as designated by Strathcona County and are always within a 'Park'. These typically include soccer field, football fields and baseball diamonds. Similar items excluded include Basketball Courts and outdoor rinks.

Election results for the 2017 Strathcona County municipal elections. Results include all positions and all voting stations.
