Polygon areas representing designated zones and associated weekday for household waste collection by Strathcona County Utilities, Waste Management.

This data represents footprints of buildings within Strathcona County. Buildings greater than 400 square feet were identified and roof corners were captured to create a polygon. The building footprints generated during the 2013 and 2015 ERJOI were updated using 2018 Lidar (captured in May 2018). The ground elevation comes from a DEM generated from the 2018 Lidar. The minimum and maximum roof elevation was generated from the DSM from the 2018 Lidar using 95% percentile values. Height and elevation values are in metres and the area is calculated in square metres.

Point map of outdoor rinks. “Outdoor Rinks" are outdoor areas of land designed to facilitate skating activities in the winter and general recreation in other seasons that are owned or maintained by Strathcona County. These areas are outdoor rinks but may not have permanent walls and/or can also allow general recreation. It includes the bounds of the area as designated by Strathcona County and are always within a 'Park'. These include permanent rinks and seasonal rinks (on grass or ice).

This data represents the boundaries of the rural Hamlets in Strathcona County.

Points representing pressurized water pipe fittings, including wyes, tees, reducers, plugs, and nodes. The assets are buried at a minimum of 2.74 meters below the ground.

Single line representations of storm water pipes. Precipitation collected from roadways, roofs and developed land makes its way into a network of pipes that convey the water to engineered storm water ponds to store water in rainfall events and act as the primary treatment sources. The water from there is released at a controlled rate in natural streams, rivers and wetlands.

Points representing water meters and meter pit locations. Water meters are used to measure the volume of water used by residential and commercial buildings. More meter data will be included in the near future.

These data represent the defined boundaries of the Urban Service Area in Strathcona County as defined in By-law 15-2016 and By-Law 44-2016 to include the areas of Bremner, West of 21, and Hillshire.
