Description
“Playgrounds" are areas of land covered in a resilient surface containing play equipment designed to facilitate general recreation that are owned or operated by Strathcona County. These areas are commonly sand or rubber covered areas surrounded by one or more concreate retaining walls with swings, slides, decks, forts and other similar equipment. The bounds of the playground area are designated by Strathcona County and are always within a 'Park'. Playgrounds can be located indoor or outdoor. This data set includes traditional sand-covered playgrounds and creative playgrounds. It does not included are facilities like BMX parks, parks, or splash parks.
